Performers



Rodrigo Tarraza, Baroque Transverse Flute or Traverso
is an internationally renowned flautist. He studied with Barthold Kuijken at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Netherlands, achieving his Master of Arts degree. Rodrigo has performed throughout North America, South America, and Europe as both a soloist and chamber musician with ensembles such as La Petite Bande, Les pays bas, Intercontinental Baroque Ensemble, Davidoff Ensemble, Camerata Köln, Telemann Kammerorchester, Friedberger Kammerorchester and L'Arpa Festante, as well in the U.S. with American Baroque in San Francisco, New York, Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles and Washington. He has taught both Baroque transverse and modern flute in Europe, Chile, and the US, including the New England and San Francisco Conservatories. At the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile he taught Baroque chamber music and performance practice. He is a sought after baroque soloist from New York to Boston. Since 2001 Rodrigo has also been touring the world as professional Jazz and Fusion player on saxophone and EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument).



Christine Gevert
, Harpsichord and Organ
holds a master’s degree in organ and early music performance from the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, Hamburg, Germany. After earning a bachelor’s degree in music theory from the Conservatorio Nacional de Chile, she studied choral and orchestral conducting in Berlin, Germany and harpsichord in London. She has taught at the Berlin Church Music School, the Universidad de Chile, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Santiago, Chile. She has played solo recitals as organist and harpsichordist all over Germany and performed with and conducted ensembles and orchestras like the Berliner Bachsolisten, the Berliner Bachorchester, Leipziger Bachchor, La Giola, L'Arpa Festante, Musica Poetica, Chursaechsische Capelle, Estudio MusicAntigua, and Ars Antiqua Lipsiensis. In Chile, she performed with Collegium Josquin, Capella Antiqua, Pentagrama, Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile, and Orquesta de Cámara Universidad Católica. Recently she conducted the Orchestre du Chambre Français. She has recorded for Carpe Diem records, Berlin, and can be heard on the early German Baroque CD "Dulcis Memoriae ". She has led master classes at music festivals in Germany and Chile, and has appeared locally at Music Mountain Chamber Music Festival, the Berkshire Choral Festival and the Amherst Early Music Festival, as well as the Boston Early Music Festival and at many other East coast venues. Founder and artistic director of Crescendo, Christine, has led her own Chorus and Period Instrument Orchestra in several Baroque east coast and U.S. premieres. She conducts a variety of choral ensembles in New England and is currently Music Director at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lime Rock, CT.



Tricia van Oers, Recorder
graduated from the Rotterdam Conservatory in the Netherlands (teacher and soloist degrees), where she studied recorder with Thera de Clerck and Han Tol. She received a Performer Diploma with high achievement in Early Music-Instrumental performance from Indiana University's Early Music Institute, where she also served as an Associate Instructor. She was Director of the 1999 North American Recorder Teacher's Conference at Indiana University's School of Music, and has been repeatedly on the faculty of the Amherst Early Music Festival, Indiana University's Summer Academy and the 2000 North American Recorder Teacher's Seminar. She has performed in solo and ensemble recitals in the Netherlands, Portugal and the U.S.
